The workshop Malika Monkeys
is born in 2000 with the goal of created a
work and formation place for
the young boys of Malika.

Aziz has been the promoter of
that project after 3 years of formation
in djembe work in the region of Dakar.
With his friend Dani arrived to make
it real and to created the Malika Monkeys.

During the years the workshop
developed until having
4 work sectors:
the djembes with Aziz,
the woodworking with Laye,
the welding with Jougouna
and the tailor with Djibi.

In total in the workshop there are
14 boys working, shared in between
the different sectors.

This mix among different materials,
ideas and experiences makes
the boys real artists,
professional and open to the job
development persons.

The workshop is a meeting place
with the African and Senegal culture,
where foreign people
are welcome in a family
and open atmosphere.
